Playalinda Beach's raw beautyDo you care to bare?

Move over wooden bangles and dangly earrings, we’re shedding it all when we visit Playalinda Beach, a barrier island on Canaveral National Seashore. surf and fun at Playalinda Beach Yes, we understand nudism is illegal in Florida, but this is one beach you can shed your clothes and no one will notice – or care.

The most northern parking area of the beach is so secluded that nudism laws aren’t enforced. You’ll find a wide variety of visitors here from heterosexual couples to gay men to true naturists. If this describes you, Playalinda Beach should be on your (nude) vacation radar. If you’re not into public displays of your body, Playalinda has a more conservative section along the earlier parking lots leading up to Parking lot #13.

Florida Weather

They don’t call Florida the Sunshine State for no reason! With great sunshine year-round, Florida’s temps vary modestly depending on season. Space Coast, Fl weatherSummer brings temperatures between 81°F – 91°F, while winter temperatures drop between 61°F – 75°F with the rare, occasional frost thrown in when the jet stream pushes really low. As the summer heats up, so too does the chance of rain, high humidity and the risk of tropical storms. Understanding Florida is a warm climate overall, if you are from the upper states or Canada, even those winter temperatures are shorts and sandals season while the locals are bundled against the cold. Remember, you’re heading to the beach!

Playalinda is now pretty safe as far as the old nudity ordinances go. The Brevard County Sheriffs office that used to issue citations doesn't waste their time any more thanks to some court challlenges that cost them more to fight than the money they took in. Just stay at Park 13 area and northward. HOWEVER - beware of the Max Brewer Causeway bridge that you much cross over to get to Playalinda. It is a 30 MPH Speed Limit, and the Titusville Police love to set speed traps to try and improve the city's cash flow. It is easy to speed on the downhill part of the bridge because it is wide open and nice - and you may be getting excited at nearly arriving at your destination. Don't start out your nice beach day with a speeding fine that will cost you 50x what the beach fee will be .......

I had no idea we had to many of these kinds of beaches. My wife and I just visited Florida to buy a car from a south dealership. On the way we stopped in Sarasota and visited Siesta Key which was absolutely awesome -- not nude though.

Great article recommending nude beaches for vacations. Nude beaches are illegal in most parts of the US. Why risk going to Playalinda beach when you have the best and only legal nude beach in Florida down in Miami Beach called Haulover Beach. Also why risk going to an illegal nude beach when you have the best nudist resort in Florida called Cypress Cove just minutes outside of Orlando. Finally, everyone knows that Florida averages more rain than any other state in the US in the summer time. Why risk having your vacation rained out?

I live in Titusville, 10 miles from Playalinda..

Imagine, after an exhausting week of the daily facade everyone puts on every morning before we step out our doors, the ability to go to a place where none of that defines the person you are. Where you are not judged by the car you drive, the type of job that you have, or the clothes on your back. Imagine a place where everyone's the same, and you'll imagine what it's like to visit there. Imagine all of this peace and beauty in a naturist surrounding, free of one of the strongest reminders of the world we so dearly need to retreat from: our clothes. Imagine a place like naturistmingle.com where no one is judged by appearance but is accepted only as God himself created him. Imagine an environment where even children can play in complete safety and peace.
