Ready to take a naked vacation in Ontario? Let's go!

Come to Ontario and get naked. We've got two great resorts to share with you today - swimming, camping, nature hikes, outdoor activities, a massage in the woods, rooms to rent, dancing at night, volleyball, music festivals. And it's all done naked in true naturist (nudist) style. The freedom of a textile-free vacation meeting friendly people from around the world has its naked appeal.

Ms GoGirlfriend and I annually explore a new naturist resort or facility as we travel. Here's a summary of our two favorites in Ontario.

Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park

Travel about 45 minutes north of Toronto and you'll discover a large resort with natural wilderness, camping facilities, guest rooms to rent, bistro, pool, hot tub and spring-fed lake and lots of trails to stroll au naturel. Bare Oaks promotes a pure naturist philosophy and requires complete nudity (to the weather conditions) over a clothing-optional facility. If it's your "First visit", you'll enjoy their unique onboarding experience that includes a comprehensive intro video and orientation to the facility to ensure your naturist experience begins as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

When we visited, we booked the King room and brought picnic foods to supplement the bistro selection for our weekend stay. We're heading back there this summer and will be trying out their rentable full-size trailer, complete with a deck and barbeque. We love to picnic on the great lawn overlooking the stream and plan to enjoy our dinners on the patio. There's always lots going on here for families: kids' activities, volleyball, a nude band, campfires and even nude yoga.

We spent our days strolling, swimming, meeting others in the hot tub, lounging on the main green and we each booked a wonderful hour-long naked massage in a screened gazebo in the forest [GoGirlfriend recommendation]. Bare Oaks gave us together time in a body-accepting naturist environment. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the facilities were well kept and clean.

Ponderosa Nature Resort

An hour west of Toronto near Guelph, the Ponderosa was our first nudist experience many years ago. With sprawling grounds, campsites, a large clubhouse, a very large pool, a 20 person outdoor hot tub with swim up bar (smaller 8-person hot tub indoors), sauna, bar, restaurant and rooms/trailers to rent we easily fell into the comfort and freedom of textile-free relaxation.

The Ponderosa is well known for their annual Nudist Volleyball Tournament and by their calendar of events have lots of activities, dances and pig roasts to engage the community. They've held NudestockNorth for a few years now, a naked music celebration with live bands rotating into their calendar regularly. FYI, if you enjoy a quieter nudist experience, this is not the resort for you. The music is loud and carries into the early morning on summer weekends.

Our visits here have ranged from camping, renting a house trailer and rooming in the main lodge.  We've enjoyed socializing in the hot tubs meeting other nudists from across North America, and had unbelievable fun one summer night at their Friday night "Bare as U Dare" dance. With new management over the past decade, the upgrades to the facilities are improving the overall resort and naturist experience.

[Sidenote] Four Seasons Nudist Resort and Glen Echo Park - sadly, the popular Freelton Four Season Nudist Resort and Glen Echo Park in King, Ontario have both ceased being clothing optional resorts with recent ownership changes. The Four Seasons Nudist Resort has changed to the clothing-mandatory Fernbrook Resort and Glen Echo Park is now privately owned and operated. Two great opportunities lost for naturists in Ontario. Seems we'll have to travel a little farther for our next naked resort experience.

Naturist virgin? Just relax already!

Even if you're a naturist virgin, most facilities embrace a welcoming atmosphere and will give you time to acclimate to the experience. Whether arriving single or as a couple the new experience of completely undressing and publicly presenting your naked self to the world takes getting used to - getting past your gymnophobia [fear of nudity]. Natural arousal and sexual intensity, as a by-product of adjusting to the au naturel and nudist lifestyle, quickly relaxes away as you find the freedom. The naturist philosophy is one of body acceptance and enjoying the skin you live in.
