Woman Stuck On Toilet - Bizarre Story Out of Kansas

Woman spends 2 years on the toilet and gives Kansas another thing to be famous for...

When I think of Kansas, I remember Laura Ingalls and Little House on the Prairie. I think of wide open spaces, God's country. But after the news today of a woman who sat on the toilet so long her skin grew around the seat, I have another mental image that's giving me the shivers.

Stuck on the ToiletStuck on the ToiletOn February 27, a man called the police in Wichita, Kansas to report that something was wrong with his 35-year-old girlfriend. Apparently she'd been in the bathroom for 2 years and he was worried.

When the police arrived, the girlfriend was sitting on the toilet, her pants around her ankles. It looked as if the woman's skin had grown around the seat and her leg muscles atrophied. The seat had to be pried off the toilet with a crowbar, but was surgically removed later in hospital.

"She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body," Brian Whipple, Ness County Sherriff told AP News. "It is hard to imagine. ... I still have a hard time imagining it myself."

We're having a hard time imagining why it took the boyfriend 2 years to call the police. Understandably, when a woman storms off to the bathroom, it's a good idea to give her some breathing space. Let her cool down for a while. But 2 years!?!

It sounds like the pistons aren't quiet firing properly - in either half of that couple

We're sure there are prettier things to imagine in Kansas than the one this story leaves us with...

This story is hard to

This story is hard to believe but I think it's a matter of abuse. The boyfriend had to have done something to this woman. It doesn't make sense for the woman to sit on the toilet that long. This story is very disturbing to me.I wish her the best in her recovery from this terrible ordeal.

I'm a family member of

I'm a family member of Pam’s, first off she is NOT in fair condition, she’s anorexic and has been in ICU for two weeks. Kory (the boyfriend) has NOT allowed Pamela to have ANY contact with her family for 15 years. We’ve tried calling, writing and visiting just to have him shut off all of our communication with her. So, abuse? It would be safe to guess that something has been going on in Ness City. We love Pamela and hope to God that she will talk with us soon.

Actually, where I sit currently (on a barrier island) has been under water many times. Staying on an island is scary. We leave if it is over a CAT 1. The most important thing for us is to fill our gas tanks at the first inkling that there may be a storm. Water, medicines, non perishable food, they're all really important. Honestly, if it is a big storm, alcohol later serves as pay for work. We stock up on EVERYTHING. We start eating out of the freezer days before (like we did tonight, getting ready for Earl). You don't want much to go bad. Then we tie up all the trash cans, secure grills, and hold on for dear life :)"

The buses in Mexico are very comfortable like flying in a plane they often have movies and it is safer.Plan your trip and don't travel alone especially if you are female.Women traveling alone are a target Good luck and stay alert."
