Destination wedding with a twist...

When I think of beach weddings, I imagine soft cotton dresses and tropical vines billowing in the breeze, bare toes in the sand and the rhythmic pulsing of waves... But this Valentine's Day, Hedonism is taking the idea of a destination wedding to a new (and quite frankly) fun level.

If you're chosen, they'll pay for the whole shindig and 4 days stay in Negril, Jamaica at Hedonism II. Your wedding will be documented and aired on TV on Valentine's Day - with the tricky parts blurred out, of course.

Weddings are an expensive proposition for couples. Think of the things you won't have to buy at a nudist resort for your nude wedding:

• Wedding dress
• Wedding shoes
• Groom's suit
• Bridesmaid's dresses
• Usher's attire

And then consider the frustration you'll save yourself. • Excitement is harder to hide - please pardon the pun, but it's true. Carrying a towel will help.
• Disinterest can be disturbing. Again, we can't stress the importance of a towel enough.
• Lack of pockets. Carrying a beach bag or purse at a nudist resort is a must.
• I don't know where to look. One day on the resort surrounded by naked people and you'll figure this out. We guarantee it.
• Who do I invite? That's a tricky one. Inviting the in-laws might make for uncomfortable family gatherings later. Friends might be a tough one too.

Hidden costs of a naked wedding

Just because you're naked doesn't mean you leave all the adornments at home and put your inner-hippy out there. This is a celebration of the naked body and your time to shine - literally and figuratively.

• Make-up. You'll still want to look your radiant best for your wedding day so make-up is a must. You might also want to experiment with some creative waxing. A trial run a month ahead of time is recommended.
• Jewelry - Without the dress, your skin becomes the canvas. Adorn your body with a beautiful jeweled hip necklace, anklets, bracelets, earrings, etc.
• Hair. Flowers, jewels or your curls billowing in the breeze are all beautiful choices. Again, experimenting ahead of time is the key to success.
• Nails. While your bridesmaids won't all be wearing the same color skin, you can still play with color - on your nails, with your flowers, etc.

Clothing optional resorts are as much about the freedom of expression as they are about admiring the physical beauty of the naked body. If you're not comfortable being naked in your own bedroom, it will take some time getting used to being naked in front of hundreds.
