If you're looking for a sexy tour of Washington or New York, map out Spitzer's "Road to Ruin" with Ashley Dupre

Spitzer's fall from grace is less than a week old and already tourists have sourced out a new (and let's face it a lot more exciting) way to see the sights in Washington and New York. Sure you could just stay at the Waldorf, but everyone loves a "famous" hotel room, whether it's haunted or merely stained by a hot-blooded politician and his pricey call-girl.

Hot-Blooded PoliticianHot-Blooded PoliticianIf you're into sexy tourism (not to be confused with sex tourism), room 871 at the Mayflower in Washington may be just what you're looking for.

What you'll love about Room 871

  • It's very big. Very big.
  • It has lots of expensive furniture to make you feel obscenely wealthy - could this be the reason it's now a sin to be that rich?
  • The view is stellar.
  • You don't have to use your real name when you register.

What you'll hate about Room 871

  • You have to book a year ahead because everyone wants it.
  • You're afraid to look under the bed.
  • The chairs look so posh, you're afraid to sit on them in your birthday suit.
  • You know who sat on the chairs in their birthday suit and you're afraid to sit on them at all.

The Chelsea Landmark isn't as easy to peg down. It's a rental property for people who want to live in New York but don't want to buy there. We're almost certain they don't rent by the night, but if your wallet is big enough you may be in luck. Monthly rental fees start at $3500.

You might want to wait a bit before inquiring though. We hear the film crews camped outside the building are giving the other "respectable" residents a tough time. And let's face it, no one wants to be hassled on vacation.

Would you go to these places to see what all the fuss is all about? Or are you over the whole Spitzer debacle and booking your cruise to the Caribbean?

I am currently living in Chengdu and was here for the earthquake. Although some of the nearby cities suffered major damage, damage in Chengdu was very limited. I have heard reports of a building that collapsed and a couple buildings suffered minor structural damage but, by in large, tourist trips to the area will not be impeded at all. The day following the quake most stores in the city were closed but everything in Chengdu should return to normal by the weekend at the latest. It is a great city and I would encourage people not to change their travel plans. "
