  • Beach geography: Flat, sandy and usually calm. You’ll enjoy soft sand that continues into the water.
  • Ease of access: You’ll find that locating the beach and parking is very easy, nearly as easy as enjoying yourself on the beach.
  • Extra costs: No extra costs.
  • Beach amenities: There are no permanent vendors or services on Ffryes Beach with the exception of Dennis' on top of the north hill. Bring your umbrella for an escape from the tropical sun while staying on the beach and don’t forget to pack lots of sunblock.
  • Special note: Perfect for sitting, sunning and swimming.

Steer clear of big crowds and enjoy sparkling blue water that’s perfect for swimming – with no rocks or reefs to snag the toes. Located nearby other beaches including Darkwood Beach, Coco Beach and Jolly Harbor, you’ll be able to mark more than one Caribbean Beach off of your Caribbean Beach bucket list when you sun, swim and forget about time on Ffreys Beach. Show up early to avoid the congestion in the area surrounding the beach.

Stroll nearby beaches or plant yourself at Ffryes beach, soaking up each second spent at this peaceful location.

take an afternoon excurion with Creole CruisesJolly Harbor, a short ten-minute drive from the beach will offer you a variety of activities, from the Casino at Jolly Harbor, to Taino's & Millennium Galleries and the Jolly Harbor Golf Course. Enjoy a lobster lunch and cruise to Bird and Prickley Pear islands with Creole Cruises out of Jolly Harbor. Play some tennis or golf at the nearby Jolly Harbor Complex, which also offers a number of casinos, restaurants and bars. It’s held annually by the Jolly Harbor Yacht Club and consists of a series of races that are 60 to 90 minutes in length. Come out to Jolly Harbor, and have some fun with the family as you bet against each.

During this 3-day event you’ll be able to mingle with authors, attend workshops and concerts, participate in author readings and book signings and refuel at food vendors. The coldest month in Antigua, with an average temperature of 76°F, is January. You’ll want to avoid travelling to Antigua during the month of October if you don’t like the rain because it’s the wettest month with an average of 110mm of rain. Plan your vacation in September and you’ll enjoy the best temperatures for swimming in the sea when the average water temperature is 84°F.
