Spa Tips for Cruisers

Spa TreatmentsSpa TreatmentsIf you're visiting a spa on your next cruise, you'll have a different experience than you have at your favorite land-based spa. Keep these tips in mind:

  • Book your appointments as soon as you board. There may be thousands of people on your ship, but there's only one spa and prime times book quickly.
  • Watch for daily specials and discounted spa packages on port days.
  • Consider attending the spa orientation. You may be picked for a demonstration (a mini facial) or win a door prize.
  • Hit the showers first and get rid of sunscreens and oils.
  • Don't feel pressured to purchase products after your treatment.
  • Check your charge slip. Most spas automatically factor in the tip, but you may want to adjust the amount or remove it if you weren't satisfied with the experience.

Planning to Lose a Suitcase?

Okay, no one pre-books a trip to Kenya for their luggage when they're headed off to New Orleans - but it happens.

If you're traveling with a partner, spread your clothes between 2 suitcases so if 1 gets lost, you'll still have enough to get through to your first shopping trip.

If you're traveling alone, always pack 1 outfit and your essentials (make-up, medication, etc.) in your carry-on.
