Nobody puts Baby in the corner...

It's hard to believe it's been 21 years since Swayze grabbed Jennifer Grey, dipped her backwards and danced his way into our hearts. And who can forget the way he trailed his fingers down her side with those naughty, bad-boy lips twitching into a smile?

I don't think I started to breathe again for a full minute.

Dirty DancingDirty DancingBut now this icon of the 80's is facing a lot more than stogy parents who can't see the beautiful woman their daughter has become.

According to the National Enquirer, Patrick Swayze is fighting pancreatic cancer, which is spreading rapidly through his body. Some sources say Swayze has only 5 weeks to live.

Patrick and wife Lisa Niemi (who are both pilots) have been making a lot of trips to Palo Alto's airport, minutes away from the Stanford Cancer Center.

Swayze's publicist released this statement: "Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far," Swayze's physician, Dr. George Fisher said in the statement. "All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic."

Swayze will always be hot in our books. And the Catskills of 1963 is a place we'll always happily travel to...

To help the cause, grab your coffee, your cubicle buddies and enjoy a replay of Swayze's famous dance with Jennifer Grey. As far as we're concerned, there can never be too many replays of this one!

I had never seen the movie.

I had never seen the movie. I am 76 years old but when I heard about his problem I bought the DVD of Dirty Dancing. Man oh man does that make me want to be young again and meet someone like him!!!!!! Great movie and I have been watching it twice a day. Wonder what his answer to this would be Sigh!!!

I was not a huge fan of the movie but I am a huge fan of the area where Dirty Dancing was filmed - Lake Lure, NC. Visitors can take their pick from cabins, vacation homes and bed & breakfasts along the lake. Lake Lure is only 25 miles SE of Asheville, NC. This lazy little town is perfect for a girls weekend escape for those living in Atlanta. Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway are all nearby attractions. Visit http://www.girlfriendgetawaypackages.com/Destinations/Asheville/index.ht... to see Asheville area packages.

I remember every year I would beg my mom to rent Dirty Dancing for my birthday. And every year on my birthday I was glued to the T.V. watching the movie for the 1,000th or so time. It became such a habit that the owner of the rental store would set a copy back for me as one year they were all out on my birthday. I didn't throw a fit or tantrum, but I did cry. After that he always kept a copy back for me and eventually just gave me the movie. After I moved away from home, the very first movie I bought myself was my beloved Dirty Dancing.

Families do indeed get a lot out of our trips, as do couples, single travellers, and seniors. Yours in Adventures That Count Chris "

Right now the agencies are still dealing with a lot of paperwork to get into Myanmar. However, once they are in, they need names and applications on file so they can call on you when they are ready to go. If your vacation dates are more structured, why don't you contact an agency which runs volunteer programs all the time, you'll be able to make a difference somewhere without driving your boss nuts waiting to find out when you're going. Good luck!"
