Jackson's Neverland Ranch may be your next dream home

In the market for a new vacation home? Bad karma aside, the Neverland Ranch may be your next vacation paradise. Cross your fingers Michael Jackson reneges on the $24.5 million he owes and the ranch gets auctioned off as planned.

Michael JacksonMichael JacksonThe 2,800 acre property boasts a private zoo, amusement park and more secrets than even Stephen King would want to unearth. It has all the makings of a lux resort, minus the pesky tourists.

According to Fox News: "When Neverland is auctioned, it will include everything: all personal property inside, all fixtures, and appliances, furniture and all merry-go-round devices, any rides, games. The auction literally includes every single thing that is or isn't nailed down."

So, if you don't have your mid-winter getaway booked, March 19 may be the sweetest day of the year. And if you're really lucky, no other serious buyers will show up and you'll be in for the steal of the century.

Oh wait, too late. Jackson did that already when he sidestepped charges in 2005.

On second thought you might want to rethink the whole thing. I'm pretty sure staying there even one night would have you singing Hotel California - "You can check out, but you can never leave..."

I have a better idea. It's a big property and the potential is endless. Let's explore alternative choices for the ranch:

  • Neverland Endangered Species Sanctuary: It's almost as big as Noah's ark, so why not create a safe haven for animals.
  • Neverland Spa and Resort: Who wouldn't love a ferris wheel and full-sized train sets at a romantic getaway. Hey, adults like to have fun too!
  • GoGirlfriend Head Office: 2,800 may be a little cramped but I'm sure with a little remodeling (and an exorcism or two) it would suit the GG staff perfectly.

What would you do with the ranch? Other than sell it to the highest bidder and give all the money to a worthy charity...

Actually, where I sit currently (on a barrier island) has been under water many times. Staying on an island is scary. We leave if it is over a CAT 1. The most important thing for us is to fill our gas tanks at the first inkling that there may be a storm. Water, medicines, non perishable food, they're all really important. Honestly, if it is a big storm, alcohol later serves as pay for work. We stock up on EVERYTHING. We start eating out of the freezer days before (like we did tonight, getting ready for Earl). You don't want much to go bad. Then we tie up all the trash cans, secure grills, and hold on for dear life :)"

The buses in Mexico are very comfortable like flying in a plane they often have movies and it is safer.Plan your trip and don't travel alone especially if you are female.Women traveling alone are a target Good luck and stay alert."
