Tequila-fueled lunches on their way out

As sacred a tradition as a wedding piñata, lunches that stretched out for entire afternoons were a way of life in Mexico, followed by the glorious siesta, of course.

The boozy lunch is out of vogue though and is being replaced by a power breakfast, according to Reuters. Some people think it's another sign of US influence in Mexico, but here's a thought - maybe it's just smart thinking.

I'm betting people aren't downing 3 beers with their eggs and sausage. Call me crazy, but that might reduce alcohol-related car accidents. If you've ever driven in Mexico, you'll agree it's akin to flying on an airplane that's never passed a safety test.

Some staunch supporters of the liquid lunch argue fast food will replace sit-down restaurants, which in turn will ramp up soaring obesity rates in Mexico.

Yes! It's my shorter, booze-free lunch making me fat.

Let's hear it for tequila-powered lunches and skinny thighs!

Been here since '74, and Sheriff's patrol does issue citations randomly. You just never know when. As for Cypress Cove...my wife & I visited for the 1st and last time 5 years ago. It's just a place for men to hit on your wife or girlfriend, and this loser Hadley (who runs the place) supports this type of behavior. Cypress cove sucks!!"

  • On Florida Beaches Guide - Playalinda Beach , Tom Mulhall said "Great article recommending nude beaches for vacations. Nude beaches are illegal in most parts of the US. Why risk going to Playalinda beach when you have the best and only legal nude beach in Florida down in Miami Beach called Haulover Beach. Also why risk going to an illegal nude beach when you have the best nudist resort in Florida called Cypress Cove just minutes outside of Orlando. Finally, everyone knows that Florida averages more rain than any other state in the US in the summer time. Why risk having your vaction rained out when you can go to one of the top 10 best clothing optional resorts in the world according to Trip Advisor called Terra Cotta Inn located in sunny Palm Springs, CA. For more information about nudist resorts and nude beaches located all ove rthe US and Canada go to http://aanr.com"

Where you are not judged by the car you drive, the type of job that you have, or the clothes on your back. Imagine a place where everyone's the same, and you'll imagine what it's like to visit there. Imagine all of this peace and beauty in a naturist surrounding, free of one of the strongest reminders of the world we so dearly need to retreat from: our clothes. Imagine a place like naturistmingle.com where no one is judged by appearance but is accepted only as God himself created him. Imagine an environment where even children can play in complete safety and peace."
