Traveling with only carry-on luggage is the new way to travel. It’s less costly (thanks to airline baggage fees) and easier to move from hotel to hotel. But traveling light doesn’t mean skimping on style or wearing dirty clothes multiple times.
Learn how to be a strategic packer.
Pick a base color for pants/skirts and shoes – more outfits, less clothes- Add color and patterns with tops, jewelry and scarves – mixing and matching everything
- Pick scrunchable, wrinkle-free items that look good with a quick steam in the shower
- Bring only 2 pairs of shoes (not including the ones you’re wearing) – stuff socks and underwear inside them
- Wear heavier sweaters or coats instead of packing them (planes are usually cold anyway)
- Pack powder detergent so you can wash underthings and hang them in your bathroom
- Take only sample sizes of your toiletries – or buy when you arrive
