Cannon + Carey = Perfect Destination Wedding in the Bahamas

Looking for an exotic locale to say "I Do" to the light of your life? You may not be ducking paparazzi like Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey, but a secluded beach resort is the perfect place to shed pre-wedding jitters.

Undercover LoversUndercover LoversAccording to eOnline, Nick Cannon, fresh-faced and barely old enough to shave, married sexy (and more than a little cougarish) Mariah Carey this week in Bahamas. The two seem to be experts at undercover (pardon the pun) loving. Nick CannonNick Cannon

Maybe they can help you out with the best place in the world to get hitched...quietly. It's no secret the Bahamas are the perfect destination for an island wedding. But if you're headed there, make sure you read the fine print.

Bahamas Marriage Regulations

  • At least one of you must reside permanently on the island, but this clause is waived easily.
  • At least one of you must be on the island a full day before the ceremony - not a clause you'll want to waive.
  • If either of you are divorced, you'll need paper proof of the final decree. Carey would have needed this for her divorce from music mogul, Tommy Mottola in 1998.
  • If either of you is widowed, you'll need the death certificate.
  • If either of you is under 18, you'll need written parental consent and a declaration certifying this fact before the US Consul at the American Embassy in Nassau. Cannon, thankfully, didn't need this.

You won't need a blood test but you will need $100 to make it legal.

As for the cougar and her kitten, well, we wish them all the best. A wedding that starts in the Bahamas is either headed for a lifetime of eternal bliss or, well, a great tan.
