Twitter Travel

When I can't get away from my desk, I travel with my Tweeps!

If we lived in a perfect world, I'd travel when I want, where I want. Travel comes in spits and spurts though, often when I'm not expecting it. I've never said no to it - and never plan to - but I've often longed for it.

Twitter TravelTwitter Travel When I'm doing my traveling virtually, my Twitter pals carry me along. None of them live near me, though we have coffee (or tea) by way of the #positiveposse - a way we identify ourselves in the overwhelming stream of friends.

Each week brings new faces to my Twitter stream - and to the #positiveposse that I love so much! Each person brings news of what's going on their world and within minutes of my first sip of coffee, I feel as though I've traveled the world. Its through them I visit beautiful places like Sydney, Australia and the feel the sunshine of Florida - when I'm freezing through the cold of a Canadian winter.

Each Friday I'm going to introduce to some of the peeps that check in for some positive energy with me each morning!

@Bridget_Cooks and @iconic88 - From Sydney with much love and kindness. They're always finishing up their day as I'm starting but the positivity and sharing never seems to reach its limit.

@StacijShelton - Staci's in Ohio and is one of the happiest people I've ever met. We've talked on the phone (briefly) and her voice is exactly like her tweets - sparkling and musical.

@JohnLusher - John's in Virginia and is as intelligent as he is considerate. When I'm suffering through yet another snow storm, he's happy to share his sunshiny skies with me.

@JimHunt - I put up with Jim only because he's from Virtual Travel Virtual Travel Florida where it's always sunny. Just kidding! Chatting with Jim is like adding a shot of tequila to your coffee - he brings the life to the party.

@aceconcierge - Suzie adds the cream to my coffee. She's always reading between the tweets, encouraging and nudging.

@tkpleslie - Leslie's energy and enthusiasm buoy me up - even if I'm not all that interested in visiting Minneapolis.

@timneale and @Ph1lm - Tim and Phil are from England and (they don't know this) but I've always, always, always wanted to visit England. I'm not so secretly hoping I'll get an invite one of these days!

Of course, this is just a small, small sampling of some of the wonderful people I travel with everyday. Next Friday, you'll meet more of my Twitter buds so you can travel too.

Make sure you convert your cash at the airport so you can buy a cold beer on the bus on your way to the resort. They will take canadian money but not loonies and toonies. "
