A surge in late-night nudity prompts new training program
Naked men sleepwalking and fed-up late-night managers add up to trouble at Travelodge, one of Naked SleepingBritain's largest chain of budget hotels.
In the past year, the chain has seen an amazing increase in naked nighttime wanderers. And 95% of them are men. To help staff cope, they've created a "Sleepwalkers Guide."
Leigh McCarron, the chain's sleep director, said it's important for staff to deal with the problem efficiently. (Calling the police is no longer an option, I'm guessing).
Towels at the ready, Travelodge staff now have your dignity uppermost in their minds when that cheesy pizza and beer send you trolling public hallways in the wee hours in the all together. Comforting, isn't it?
What surprises me is that most of the saucy strollers were male. A study published by Psychology Today, suggests only 17% of men sleep in the nude, compared to 83% of women (you go girlfriends!).
Sleepwalking is brought on by stress, alcohol and late-night, high-fat meals. Either Britain has an abnormally large population of stressed-out business men who drink too much and eat fast food late at night or Travelodge isn't the most female-friendly hotel for business travel.
Or maybe we gals just know enough to lock the door before settle in for the night.
Against a monster proceeds an intentional unfortunate.
