The Airbus may have the first double beds, but nooky is a no-no
If you've booked a flight aboard Singapore Airlines inSleeping on a Jet Plane the hopes of joining the "mile-high club" in the comfort and privacy of double bed, better luck next time.
Singapore Airlines is playing Big Brother, an uptight, morally rigid Big Brother with an eye in intimate spaces.
A double suite runs well over $14,000, and it comes with doors that close - but airline officials clearly want to keep a tight rein on what happens behind those doors.
"There are things that are acceptable on an aircraft and things that aren't, and the rules for behavior in our double beds are the same ones that apply throughout the aircraft," said Singapore Airlines spokesman Stephen Forshaw in a recent interview.
"If couples used our double beds to engage in inappropriate activity, we would politely ask them to desist."
What I'm wondering is what they'll do if you don't cease and desist.
