Famous "Girl Next Door" busted for marijuana possession

She wasn't as polished or perfect as Ginger, but we liked her better. Those dimples made us smile as much as her antics with Gilligan. But a stoner? Say it isn't so.

Gilligan's Island?The famous castaway from Gilligan's Island, Dawn Wells, was arrested for driving under the influence and marijuana possession. Wells pleaded guilty to possession, despite her lawyer's protestations that he'd left the joints in her car without her knowledge. She was sentenced to 4 days jail time, a fine, probation and community service.

She's come a long way from a 3-hour cruise that landed her on a deserted island and in the hearts of millions of Americans. Maybe she's in need some serious vacation time, away from the stress that's driven her to smoking pot on her 69^th birthday.

Getting old isn't as bad as getting caught driving under the influence, Mary Ann. Watch the video from the Associated Press for all the details:
