Visit a celebrity-owned resort, of course...

Ever wonder what really happens at A-list celebrity resorts? Does Paris Hilton chill with the guys from her boyfriend's band, Good Charlotte? Or does she pooh-pooh the entourage, biding her time until she moves onto her next conquest?

Paris HiltonParis HiltonEver wanted to slip into Princess P's stilettos and vacation like a celebrity?

If you have cash to spare - a lot of cash - consider a celebrity-owned resort for your next getaway. You're guaranteed red-carpet treatment, luxury lodging and, of course, temper-tantrum management if the need arises.

Sundance Resort

Owned by Robert Redford, this 5,000 acre nature-lover's showcase mixes just enough elegance with eco-consciousness to be considered rustic chic. Décor is somewhere between Native American and Butch Cassidy, but don't be fooled into thinking its backwoods lodging. A full-service spa, self-discovery classes and fine dining will delight even the purest serenity seeker. The fact that you may see Redford while saluting the sun, well, that's just a sweet coincidence. For more info, visit Sundance Resort online.

Necker Island

Anyone who buys his own private island in his 30's scoots to the top of our wanna-get-to-know-list. Sir Richard Branson may be out of our stratosphere, but his resort on Necker Island is doable - for a price. If you find something to complain about on his 74 acres of Caribbean nirvana, we suggest you call up Princess P and hang out with her for a while. Make sure you've had a sip of your margarita before consulting the rate card for Necker Island though. It's nosebleed-pricey.

Blancaneux Lodge and Turtle Inn

When Francis Ford Coppola wants to get away from it all, he escapes to one of his luxury resorts in Belize. Can't decide which resort suits your needs better? Guests often divide their stay between the hard-to-reach rustic beauty of Blancaneux Lodge and the chic and trendy Turtle Inn, just a few miles from the airstrip. And if you're really in need of some celebrity-style pampering, Coppola's private 2-befroom bungalow, which features a very big library, 2 baths and a private pool, is also available to rent. Visit Turtle Inn and Blancaneux online for more info.

The Clarence

If you're a rocker at heart, Bono's boutique hotel in the heart of Dublin is the answer to all your vacation questions. It's not as nosebleed pricey as Necker Island, but room rates are high enough to keep out the riff-raff - exactly the kind of place Bono would stay at if he were the guest. If a trip to Ireland is in the cards for you, visit The Clarence online.

Note to self: In my next life, remember to stand in the A-List Line Up. Sure, I'll kiss freedom goodbye, but vacationing when and how I want because I earn a million dollars a week for flipping my hair...that's something I can get behind.

What would you give up to vacation like a rock star?
