Las Vegas Spotlight - Sleeping in the City that Never Sleeps

The second "city that never sleeps" has been through an incredible evolution over the last 10 years, transforming itself from a drinking gambler's paradise into a drinking gambler's ultimate vacation destination, featuring world-class restaurants, incredible nightclubs, award-winning entertainment, and high-class accommodations.
The VenetianIf you're set on staying on the strip, you'll be hard pressed to find a hotel better than The Venetian. Situated toward the North end of the strip just steps from Fashion Show Mall, The Venetian brings a taste of Italy to the desert. Starting in their beautiful marble-floored lobby, continuing through the canals in the shopping areas (with singing gondoliers) and following all the way up to your room, which is nothing short of luxuriously comfortable. Most rooms feature 2 queen-size beds and a queen-size pull-out couch, as well as a marble tub and stand-alone shower.
Not all the action is on the strip. Just look at The Palms as proof. Having opened in 2001, The Palms opened their second tower (the Fantasy Tower built in 2005) bringing the property up to 802 rooms. Their deluxe rooms offer guests a choice of 2 double beds or a king, in a warm, clean design that offers a view no matter which way you face. And don't forget their pool, which re-opened last summer after a multi-million dollar makeover, immediately making it the hottest spot in Vegas for an outdoor party.
But the belle of the ball is the newly opened Platinum Hotel and Spa. It's not your usual Vegas hotel. In fact, it's one of very few non-casino, non-smoking hotels featuring a home away from home feel. Choose from a 1 or 2-bedroom suite (starting at 900 sq ft) that features a full kitchen, living room with fold-out couch and 42-inch plasma TV, marble bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, and your own private balcony. It's a Vegas value that's hard to beat.
