Is your Vegas showing yet?

By Carly Milne

Enough sitting - it's time to dance! If you've made the wise decision to have dinner at Nove, your post-dinner plans are easy to execute. Just to the side of the bar is an escalator that takes you up to the newly opened Playboy Club, an updated take on Hugh Hefner's old concept of a gentlemen's lounge.

Bunnies decked out in Roberto Cavalli's version of the classic bunny outfit are everywhere in this slick lounge - Playing in Las VegasPlaying in Las Vegasserving drinks, dealing cards at the poker and blackjack tables, and decorating 60 plasma screens showing classic covers. Make sure you don't miss the opportunity to get a drink from the Diamond Bar, featuring 10,000 diamond-shaped crystals that glitter under Philippe Starck-designed Baccarat crystal chandeliers.

Just one floor up from the Playboy Club is the new jewel in Vegas' nightclub crown, Moon. Glass tile floors, a glowing dance floor featuring the nation's top DJs spinning all your favorites and stunning views of the strip from two outdoor balconies make this nightclub a must-see. How did it get its name? Look up. That's where you'll see the club's namesake, framed by a retractable roof 35-feet above the dance floor.

But you won't want to miss the spectacle that is Tao in The Venetian. You wouldn't think it possible to blend Buddhist zen décor with the sound and fury that belies a nightclub, but Tao has mixed the two opposites with outstanding results. It's 10,000 square feet of the best nightclub experience in Las Vegas.

All that partying will wear you down if you don't take care of yourself, so make sure you take time out for the spa.

Some Las Vegas spa experiences can be as bustling as the strip itself, so if you're looking for something a little more secluded and intimate, The Well Spa at The Platinum is right up your alley. Featuring only four treatment rooms, The Well Spa has a full feature menu, but also manages keeping things low key and personal by only having so much room for clientele. Make sure you book your appointment early - their books fill up fast, and that's no surprise considering the skilled technicians they have on-staff.

If you still haven't gotten the party out of you - or maybe you didn't even make it to bed - you won't want to miss Tao Beach. Taking cues from its nightclub predecessor, Tao Beach inhabits a corner of the Venetian pool deck with orange-tented cabanas, a full bar, and a small pool sitting under the watchful eye of a golden Buddha, over which a DJ spins the latest tunes.

The mood is mellow during the day as attendants help clean your sunglasses and apply suntan lotion as needed, and waitresses bring by frozen shots to help keep you cool. But as the night creeps ever closer, the music gets a little more bump-n-grind and the mood gets a little more partified, prepping you for another round. If you're going to play tail-of-the-pup, this is the way to go.

Whatever path you may take through Sin City may it be one filled with great food, great drinks, great experiences, and great memories... or not, depending on how much sinning you get up to!
