Grace and Pedro - Dreaming up Travel
Part 1 - Planning to travel around the world without missing a day of work

Grace Chengdivide their lives between Singapore and the U.S. - and they love to travel. Trouble is, like most of us, they have trouble fitting time away into lives that move at hyper-speed.
Grace and Pedro did what most of us only dream about - they packed their lives into suitcases and their jobs into their laptops and went. I caught up with them (via the Internet, of course) and grilled them with questions.
Because, in all honesty, if I can figure out a way to do what they're doing, I'm outta here!
GoGirlfriend: How did you come up with this idea and did you honestly think it could work?
Grace: Both of us were so terribly busy with our work that we hadn't traveled for a year and a half. And that's a long time for people love to explore new places.
I trade currencies from home, so it was difficult for me
Grace Cheng to separate work and leisure time. For me, time literally means money. We decided to live for the moment and not be addicted to work 24/7.
One day I said, "Should we take a 1-month vacation in Tuscany?" Then Pedro gamely suggested we could even try traveling around the world and work as we relax. I looked at him incredulously, thought it was an out-of-the-world idea, but said, "Let's do it!"
That's how this idea started and it's evolving as we travel. Did we honestly think it could work? Well, we still ask ourselves that when we get up at 6am to see some great nature after working until 3am the night before. So we take it one day at a time, and so far it seems doable.
In the practical sense, thanks to Internet, we are able to work from wherever we are.
Grace Cheng is a 27-year-old biologist-turned-currency trader. When she's not trading or mentoring novice traders, she loves to be among nature. She loves authentic Italian food, checking out the financial markets, filming and traveling the world. Her motto: "A great life is not limited by money, but by your own imagination!"
Pedro Pla is a 26-year-old IT geek. He wrote his first basic program at 7 and since then he's done everything from running servers to being CTO of a multinational travel company. When he's not sitting behind a computer typing code, you can find him paragliding, snorkeling and hiking. He's also passionate about cooking and eating.
