In-flight Theft Continues
Thieves Love TouristsWe thought the on-board burglary was a one-off story, but it seems to be a growing worry. On Friday, Chinese officials warned that there have been more than 100 cases of theft in the air.
In America, the biggest theft problems are from checked luggage. But in China, more than $400 000 worth of property has disappeared from overhead bins in the past year.
Flyer beware. A flight within China may turn out be expensive in ways you hadn't bargained for. Keep your bags locked, and take a careful inventory at touch-down so you can report any missing goods or money.
Have you been a victim of theft while travelling?
