Good luck!

Hi everyone. As Julia mentioned, I'm off on another adventure. She wrote in my intro, "Dez Bartelt is who I want to be when I grow up."

Well, Julia, this is what I tell other women who make Missing Out on LifeMissing Out on Lifethat statement: Don't wait - do it now. Life is too short to miss out on the adventure. There are no excuses.

That's the ridiculous number of vacation days Americans leave untouched every year, according to a 2007 Expedia survey. And you're missing out on more than just margaritas and tan lines.

  • Vacations help us feel less tense, tired and depressed.
  • They also keep us more satisfied with our relationships.

So whether your goal is to lie motionless on the beach in Puerto Rico, chase lions in Kenya or tack a few play days on to your business trip to San Francisco, it's high time you got of Dodge.

Or should I say your office?

Have you started planning your time away for 2008 yet? What are you waiting for?
