Even a hotel heiress needs travel tips.

As well as destroying hotel property (and being fined almost $10 000) Hilton stirred up trouble in Moscow by spending ridiculous sums of money, announcing, "I want that. You can buy what you want." Talk about being a bad tourist.

Paris HiltonParis HiltonYou'd think that Paris Hilton would know how to travel, but maybe she only likes staying at her own chain. On her last visit to the Moscow Hyatt she allegedly scribbled "Paris Moscow 2008" on the wallpaper in the presidential suite.

A spokesperson for her rival hotel told the Telegraph that Hilton will not be welcome again: "Miss Hilton ruined the wallpaper in the luxury suite. In such a case the client automatically goes on the black list."

Ouch, I guess you can't buy everything you want.

Do us all a favor and don't pull a Paris next time you're traveling. Showing cultural sensitivity is just a matter of common sense and remembering a few easy tips:

Shop like a local: Don't haggle if no one else is - sometimes it's just plain rude. Paris forced her photographer to sell his jacket - what was she thinking? Even if you're offering lots of cash, don't try to buy anything that isn't for sale - would you like a stranger to try to get the shoes off your feet?

Treat every hotel like it's the Hilton: Whether you own stock or not, every hotel spends money to decorate and clean its rooms. Every time you mess it up, it costs more money for future guests.

Make your mom proud: She doesn't want to read about your adventures online. Hundred of Americans are arrested overseas each year, usually for partying up a storm. Enjoy yourself, and follow local laws and customs. Skipping either can land you in hot water later.

Do you have any tips for un-Paris-like travel?

Nothing this chick does

Nothing this chick does surprises me anymore. She should know better - it's not as if her family didn't have the money to travel......
