Carry-On Luggage Tips
Casauri ToteWhen I travel, I'd rather pack my stuff in a carry-on than wait at the conveyer belt for hours. But my goal isn't to see how much stuff I can cram into a small bag. It's to travel lightly. These few rules will help you downsize your life for travel:
- Use a packing list: If something's not on that list it has no business being in your bag.
- Uniform my clothes: Choose a color scheme and make sure every item has at least 2 possible matches.
- Layer it: Instead of packing a heavier coat, layer clothes and pack a hat and gloves.
- Choose wash n'wear: Wash clothes in the hotel sink and hang in the shower stall to dry if you can't get to a laundromat or don't want to pay the sometimes hefty hotel fees.
- Know what's prohibited: Consult the TSA to make sure the stuff in your carry-on won't land you in a pile of trouble at the gate.
