Bank of America program lets customers into museums free

Bank of America's "Museums on Us" program is a great idea - just flash your BoA card at participating museums on the first Saturday or Sunday of the month, instead of paying the usual fee. It used to be a May treat, but cardholders are celebrating an upgrade that gets them monthly access instead.

Family TravelFamily TravelUnfortunately, it looks like each card only covers one adult, but at least kid's tickets are a little bit cheaper. And if you and your partner get a free pass, it's a family day out for only the cost of two kids - that's a steal in our books.

The Museums on Us website has full details of the museums, galleries, and other cultural venues that are participating, but it looks like they won't be hard to find.

In Charlotte, the home of bank of America, visit the Mint Museum, the Mint Museum of Craft and Design, or the Levine Museum of the New South, all without paying a dime.

If you're lucky enough to go to New York, there are 6 organizations participating - including the Bronx Zoo!

So why not plan your next family road trip to cover the start of a new month, and burst through the free stuff on Saturday and Sunday. You still have the rest of the week for your other site seeing.

Which museum will you hit first?

I set up Hands Up Holidays with the passion to create amazing vacations where people got to learn about other cultures, explore a destination, and interact meaningfully with the locals, through the medium of carefully consulted volunteer projects. Families do indeed get a lot out of our trips, as do couples, single travellers, and seniors. Yours in Adventures That Count Chris "

Right now the agencies are still dealing with a lot of paperwork to get into Myanmar. However, once they are in, they need names and applications on file so they can call on you when they are ready to go. If your vacation dates are more structured, why don't you contact an agency which runs volunteer programs all the time, you'll be able to make a difference somewhere without driving your boss nuts waiting to find out when you're going. Good luck!"
