Cosmo hands out free bikinis on Nikki Beach

If you've been putting off bikini shopping (and who isn't) you can get yourself a free one if you're in Miami on Friday. Cosmopolitan is hosting the event, and Old Navy is co-sponsoring it.

Cosmo's Bikini BashCosmo's Bikini BashThe Guinness Book of World Records will even be there to count the number of bikini clad women. Yes, they're hoping for a world record. But there are a couple of catches:

  • If you're camera shy, stay home. It's a photo op disguised as a freebee. Women shot during the day have a better than average chance of getting into the August issue of Cosmo.
  • It's officially a BYO Bikini event, but early arrivals (the first 1,200) will get a new swimsuit and a bunch of other loot like manicures, beauty consultations, mini-massages and more.
  • If you've said goodbye to 35 (or haven't celebrated your 18th yet) you're out of luck. Clearly they don't subscribe to the philosophy that women get better with age.
  • You'll be in the sun all day, so pack your sunscreen, make up and anything you need to do your hair, but leave your valuables at home. And don't forget to sign up online before you go.
  •  Be prepared for oogling. Come on, that many bikinis on a beach will be a lightening rod for everyone who likes to look.

Planning to be in Miami on Friday? Will you head to Nikki Beach for a new swimsuit?

Right now the agencies are still dealing with a lot of paperwork to get into Myanmar. However, once they are in, they need names and applications on file so they can call on you when they are ready to go. If your vacation dates are more structured, why don't you contact an agency which runs volunteer programs all the time, you'll be able to make a difference somewhere without driving your boss nuts waiting to find out when you're going. Good luck!"
